Ah, the sweetness of knowing vacation is just a few hours away. I already have my MP3 road trip mix (is it wrong to have 3 songs by Journey on there??) ready to blast with the windows rolled down as we zoom along I-91 through New York into New Hampshire and then eventually into Maine. Lots of hiking and biking and cooking on a camp stove await along the way.
While I will be off the grid for a few days, the blog will continue to keep you all entertained and informed. I’ve sent out smoke signals to Rachel, my sister-in-law and one mighty fine cook, inviting her to guest blog for me as she feels the urge. I’m also giving myself homework for the trip — to seek out farmers markets and roadside stands along the way and see what I can cook up over the campfire or camp stove with the local produce of New England. Once I get back online, I’ll be sure to report my findings.
In the meantime, here are some previous posts that might make for good summer reading.
SEE YA IN A WEEK!!!
